Unfortunately, at this time the feature that links the CE's from ASHI-U to Learning Builder is currently disabled.  You will have to check the box that you don't have an ABHI Account.  You can complete the Modules on ASHI-U but you will have to manually input the CE's into Learning Builder.  We are so sorry for the inconvenience.  We are working diligently to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.

DNA Quantification and Measurement of Purity

Objectives:

  • Understand how to quantify extracted genomic DNA (dsDNA) and determine its purity using either UV absorbance spectroscopy or intercalating fluorochromes assays.
  • Understand the contrast between the two above methods and discuss the quantity and purity requirement for diverse downstream molecular testing.
  • Understand and identify the ASHI standards that pertain to the compliance of the assay, the spectrophotometer and fluorometer, and the quality control measures incorporated in the test system.
